Philly Runs Free 2020

With healthcare costs, especially related to cancer care, rising at exponential rates across the country, families are forced to make tough decisions. Legacy of Hope believes that no one should have to choose their medical bills over providing for their family.

Legacy of Hope is proud to partner with Motiv’s Philadelphia Love Run for the second year as part of Philly Runs Free. Runners who sign up to participate in the Love Run Half-Marathon or 7K on March 29, 2020 and raise $200 for Legacy of Hope will have their registration fee automatically refunded.

“Last year, we had 350 runners from all over come together to support the Philadelphia cancer community. They raised $131,000 in the process,” says Mike Rowe, CEO and Founder of Legacy of Hope. “The show of unity was inspiring and uplifting for anyone involved in the fight against cancer.”

Runners can visit www.phillyrunsfree.com to register for the Love Run Half-Marathon. When prompted, select “Philly Runs Free Opt-In.” All runners who opt-in are still eligible to run with their home team and will be prompted to join that team during the registration process.

Legacy of Hope is a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit based in Philadelphia, focusing on partnerships with local businesses and major cancer centers to bring an unparalleled level of comprehensive emergency support to Philadelphia’s most financially distressed cancer patients, and providing the greatest donor impact in cancer research by utilizing the collective knowledge of a scientific review committee to find and fund Philadelphia’s most cutting edge and promising cancer research.
